ActressKangana Ranaut on Monday criticised Ali Abbas Zafar's controversial new seriesTandav, starring Saif Ali Khan.

Kanganaslammed the series, calling it "Hindu phobic, atrocious andobjectionable".

"Theproblem isn't just the Hindu phobic content, it's also creatively poor anddeprived, atrocious and objectionable on every level hence deliberately placedcontroversial scenes. Put them in jail not just for criminal intentions butalso for torturing the viewer #tandavwebseries," the actress tweeted fromher verified account on Monday.

Meanwhile, she has deleted the tweet soon after twitteratis criticized her for promoting hatred and violence. 

Kangana'stweet comes at a time when a criminal complaint has been filed before a Delhicourt seeking action against OTT platform Amazon Prime and the makers of theweb series.

Thecomplaint filed under Section 200 of the CrPC seeks summoning, commencing trialand punishing the accused persons alleging that the web series is provokingcommunal disharmony and is hurting the sentiments of Hindus.

Controversyarose with sections of people claiming a particular sequence featuring Mohd.Zeeshan Ayyub insults the Hindu god Shiv and also hurts Hindu sentiments.

Thenine-part political web series created and directed by Zafar, features Saif AliKhan, Dimple Kapadia, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Sunil Grover, and Gauahar Khan in keyroles.

Zafarhas issued an aplogy on behalf of the cast and crew.
