Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been found guilty of 'grave violation of plan' in the legal suit that the actress filed to save her flat her residential apartment in a Mumbai suburb. Going by the reports, Kangana received notice from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in 2018. The BMC in 2018 issued a notice to her for unauthorized construction at her apartment where she has 3 flats on the fifth floor of a building named Orchid Breeze Building, located in Khar West, Mumbai.

The Dindoshi civil court had been hearing a suit filed by Kangana. City civil court judge, LS Chavan, while rejecting Ranaut’s plea on December 17 said, "I find that the plaintiff (Kangana) being an owner of three flats converted these three units into one unit."

"She has covered the sunk area, duct area, common passage as per her own convenience and included FSI-free into habitable area. These are the grave violation of the sanctioned plan for which the permission of the Competent Authority is required, " added Justice Chavan.

Advocate Rizwan Siddiquee argued on her behalf that the notice and the orders were vague and did not specify the exact nature and description of the alleged unauthorized construction carried in the premises and the schedule appended to the notice, while also lacking particulars like blueprints and measurements.

The court has given Kangana six weeks to approach the Bombay High Court against the order.
