Like Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut had predicted about division might be taking place in Bollywood after her interview with Republic TV, her prediction seems to get true. While Kangana surrounded by many Bollywood actors after her firey interview with Republic TV, now lyricist Javed Akhtar and his family have jumped into the debate of nepotism.
Javed Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Zoya Akhtar have given their interview to anchor Rajdeep Sardesai which will be aired on India Today. Like Republic TV, India Today has dropped the promo and the Akhtar family seemed to support nepotism.
In the short promo, Javed Akhtar said "If I have money and I am spending my money in my children then is this a nepotism? If yes then every industrialist is nepotistic. Then Farhan Akhtar said if you have talent then it will eventually come, it will find a way and it will come up to the surface.
The Javed Akhtar's daughter Zoya Akhtar who is also a director gave an example and said that suppose I am a barber if I die to whom I will give my shop to the best barber in the city or to my children?
Team Kangana Ranaut has replied on the promo. Sharing the promo Kangana wrote, "Dear Akhtars, #KanganaRanaut D/O AmarDeep Ranaut frm Manali evr asked you fr work or favour? Give everything u hv to ur children,hv u heard of live & let live?Why Bully someone’s daughter wen u love your own so much?Why did you call her to ur house& threaten her ? Pls ans this."
During Hrithik-Kangana controversy, the actress had revealed that Javed Akhter had asked her to stop speaking against Hrithik otherwise she might not get work and have to die by suicide.
