Kannada actress Shanaya Katwe arrested for the murder of her own brother

According to the report the actress is booked for killing her 32 year old brother Rakesh Katwe after he had allegedly opposed her love relation.


Amid all the coronavirus crisis when every day we hear one or the other bad news, another shocking news has broken. Recent news from down south has shaken the entire Kannada film industry. Kannada actress Shanaya Katwe has been arrested in relation to the murder of her own brother named Rakesh Katwe. According to the report the actress is booked for killing her 32 year-old brother Rakesh Katwe after he had allegedly opposed her love relation. Police reports say that his decapitated head was found in the Devaragudihal forest area and the other parts of the body were found in different locations. Even Shanaya’s boyfriend Niyazahemed Katigar has also been arrested in connection to Rakesh Katwe’s murder.  

According to the report of New Indian Express, the Dharwad district police has arrested four suspects who have been identified as Tousif Channapur(21), Niyazahemed Katigar(21), Altaf Mulla (24), and Aman Giraniwale(19). Some reports suggest that the murder incident took place at Shanaya and Victim Rakesh’s house in Hubballi where he was strangled to death. The investigation is still going on however actress Shanaya Katwe has been taken into judicial custody by the police. Based on the initial reports it is being said that Rakesh has shown his disapproval for Niyazahemed and Shanaya’s love affair. When Rakesh opposed their relation Shanaya was then prompted to plot this murder with her boyfriend.

Meanwhile, talking about her films, Shanaya has made her acting debut in the Kannada film Idam Premam Jeevanam in 2018. She was recently seen in the comedy movie Ondu Ghanteya Kathe.
