Kantara OTT Release Date: After initial postponement, makers to drop the Kannada blockbuster on THIS date

The Rishab Shetty's directorial has topped the chart of IMBb's movie rating of over 250 films to date this year

After a great hit and successful run at the box office, Rishab Shetty’s directorial Kantara is gripped under much speculation over its OTT release date after getting postponed from its earlier scheduled date of November 4th.

Rishab Shetty has brought in a spectacular piece of art on display, besides writing and directing he has played the lead character of Shiva in Kantara. The two main leads in Murali and Shiva are at loggerheads with each other in the movie over their duties.

The Kannada feature film associated with KGF 2 makers ruled at box offices in the Hindi belt as well collecting a whopping 67 crores through its dubbed versions in just 26 days from its release.

Apart from the storyline, the entire cast presents a superb entity on display with their exceptional performances sending fans into a frenzy. After the rumors of the movie’s possible release on November 4th a separate series of rumors charged November 18th as the new release date for this blockbuster.

However, if the latest media reports are to be believed, the makers have decided to postpone Kantara’s OTT release date, which has been linked with the release on Amazon Prime, to November end as the film is performing remarkably well at the box office.

In the northern region, Kantara has outperformed Bollywood films featuring major movie stars like Akshay Kumar (Ram Setu), Ajay Devgn (Thank God), Katrina Kaif (Phone Bhoot), Ayushmann Khurrana (Doctor G), and others. Moreover, Kantara has also made its position at No. 1 in the current list of India’s top 250 films which was released by IMDb recently.

About Kantara:

The movie begins with the opening plot back in the 18th century when a king gives a piece of land to the villagers in lieu of peace and joy. Several decades down the line, the descender of the king arrives at a Bhoota Kola (traditional dance in honor of the local deities) and threatens the tribals to return their land, however, ends up dying a tragic death. The film, which was released on September 30, is an action-thriller written and directed by Rishab and produced by Vijay Kiragandur.
