Bollywood actor and Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh has been supporting the protesting farmers from the inception of the protests. Diljit keeps on sharing pictures and videos of farmers and even talks about their rights through his social media account. Diljit did not use to remain in the political limelight, however ever since the farmer's protest started the actor took a firm stand in support of protesting farmers against the newly passed three farm laws.

Diljit Twitter war with self-proclaimed 'nationalist' actress Kangana Ranaut drew much attention and people on social media hailed the singer. Recently, Kangana and Diljit yet again indulged in the Twitter war after the singer in less than 24 hours made a Punjabi song praising Hollywood pop-star Rihanna. Diljit shared his new song titled 'Riri' after Rihanna extended her support to the farmers and following that the ongoing farmers protest went global.

Now, Diljit has slammed those people who are called the protesting farmers 'Khalistanis' and even calling him a Khalistani supporter. The singer on Twitter wrote, "V te Beh Ke Apne Aap Nu Desh Bhakt Dasi Jande aa, Gallan Edan Karde aa Jive Desh Ena Ne Ley leya Hunda, Jadon V Desh Lai Jaan Den Di Baari aee Aa Punjabi’an Ne Moore Ho ke Kurbanian Ditian.. ,Rab Na Kare Aj V Lod Pendi aa Tan PUNJABI AGEY HON GE. TUANU HUN PUNJABI CHUBDE AA? (They are calling themselves patriots while sitting on TV. They talk like if the nation is taken by them. Whenever any situation arises where people have to give their lives, it is Punjabis who remained at the vanguard or on frontline. God forbid, but as need arises, Punjabis will be on the frontline today also. Do Punjabis pinch you now?)
