Netflix has started airing one of its most-awaited comedy talk shows, ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, from June 21, 2025. After two successful seasons, this is the third season of the sitcom comedy show where the host, Kapil Sharma, invites and interviews guests, along with entertaining the guests and the audience through the show’s comedy sequences involving a skilful and talented team of performers, which includes Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Sunil Grover, and Rajiv Thakur. This season also includes both Archana Puran Singh and Navjot Singh Siddhu as co-judges.
How much does Kapil Sharma make?
Kapil Sharma is one such personality whose struggle hasn’t gone unnoticed by anyone; he gained recognition with The Great Indian Laughter Challenge in 2007 and finally became a household name with his show Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors channel. Kapil then shifted to OTT with his show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, which started airing on Netflix from 30 March 2024 and consisted of 13 episodes. Likewise, the second season, which started airing from 21 September 2024 to 14 September 2024, also consisted of 13 episodes.
As per reports, Kapil Sharma made a total of Rs. 65 crores per season, charging Rs. 5 crores per episode in both seasons. The third season is also expected to be 13 episodes long, and if Kapil charges the same amount per episode this season, his total earnings this season would also be Rs. 65 crores, summing up to Rs. 195 crores over the 3 seasons altogether.
The staggering income of ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ starcast
Even though none of these numbers are officially confirmed by Netflix or any other official sources, reports suggest that these numbers are close to the earnings of the show’s cast.
Moving ahead with unveiling the salaries of the cast, let’s know how much the co-judge Archana Puran Singh makes. As per reports from Siasat, Archana Puran Singh’s remuneration ranges between Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 12 lakh per episode.
Meanwhile, the co-judge, Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was a permanent guest in The Kapil Sharma Show between 2018 and 2020, reunited with Kapil on this digital platform and reportedly demanded a higher fee because Netflix airs only one episode per week. His per-episode salary ranges from Rs. 30 to Rs. 40 lakhs. Coming to the salaries of the performers who entertain the audience with their humorous acts, first comes Sunil Grover, who never fails to make the audience erupt into fits of laughter, earning around 25 lakhs per episode, while Kiku Sharda’s per-episode remuneration is estimated to be Rs. 7 lakhs, as per Economic Times. Krushna Abhishek, whose sense of humour always leaves the audience in stitches, reportedly earns Rs. 10 lakh per episode.
These massive and whopping amounts on the paychecks reflect the demand and love each of the members of The Great Indian Kapil Show cast has earned over the years. For many viewers, the show is more than just a comedy talk show; it is something that brings their family together and lets them have a beautiful family time, with a smile on everyone’s face.
