Karan Aujla's Podcast with Ranveer Allahabadia aired on YouTube on Monday night. During the podcast, Karan Aujla shared the pain he still feels in the absence of his father and mother. Karan Aujla was only 9 years old when he lost his father. The 27-year-old Punjabi singer was raised by his sisters after the death of his father. Below is what Karan Aujla said about losing his father at such an early stage-

"I keep on thinking about my parents, especially after success. I always thought it will get over time, but it is getting worse. The more I am earning, the more I am getting things, the more I am thinking about them. Sometimes I feel for whom I am earning what's the purpose here. I have a family. I have a beautiful wife, I have sisters, but I miss my parents. I wish they were here to witness all these things.

They did not see such type of things. They used to live in a small village and lead a normal life. They used to earn $100 monthly maybe. We were all happy in this. But, I wish they got to see a little more. But, it never happened.

It was 2006 when my dad passed away. I was 9 years old. That was the first time I was hit with such tragedy. My father had an accident and when I close my eyes, I still remember that bike that was totally smashed. We bought that bike on Diwali. Diwali is usually in November and in December he died in an accident. I still remember Splender Plus, the self-start motorcycle."

Karan Aujla further revealed that he could not perform the last rites of his father as he did not have that courage. As a result, Aujla's cousin performed the last rites of his father. Aujla said that it is his biggest regret and he feels that he should have performed his father's last rites.

For those who are unaware, Karan Aujla hails from the Ghurala village in Ludhiana. Karan's parents, Balwinder Singh Aujla and Rajinder Kaur died when he was nine years old. Thereafter, Aujla was raised by his sisters and uncle after his parents died.
