“It is my mother’s dream come true” says Karan Johar on becoming the host of Bigg Boss OTT

While the stars of the show have still not been confirmed, the host of the show will sure be Karan Johar confirmed by sources.

The king of drama, Karan Johar will be hosting the most popular Indian Reality show Bigg Boss, adding to the drama which fuels the viewers to come back for more every time! 

A lot of build up was given to the viewers  to spark excitement about the host being chosen. It sure worked well as people on twitter could not stop talking about it. 

Our favorite extra dramatic filmmaker, will be replacing Salman Khan for the special series on the show. The show will be aired on August 8 on the OTT platform Voot. 

Since the show will be released on an OTT platform, the makers of the show wanted to turn up the entertainment factor by changing the host for the show.  

OTT platforms have a larger audience consisting of youngsters, Karan Johar will be a more relatable character to host the iconic show. Karan while speaking about the show mentioned that the format of the show is interesting and that he likes it. 

Since TV shows are a shorter commitment than movies, Karan agreed to be the host also because he will be having enough time to work on his upcoming film “Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.”

Having hosted for his own show ‘Koffee with Karan Johar’ which is popular among all age groups, Karan was sure the perfect fit for this. 

He has previously hosted several reality shows including ‘What The Love!” which came out on Netflix last year. He has also been a judge on several Indian reality shows including, India’s Got Talent, Nach Baliye and India's Next Superstar. 

While talking about hosting the show Karan Johar mentioned that it was his mother’s dream come true that he will be hosting the show, “ My mom and I are huge Bigg Boss fans and wouldn’t miss it for a day” he added. 

He also mentioned that this season will be a lot more sensational and dramatic, which of-course we already know since it has KJo in it!

“ I hope I can live up to the audience’s and my friend’s expectations, make ‘Weekend ka Vaar’ with the contestants an enjoyable affair in my own style and up the ante on the entertainment quotient,” he further added while talking about the show.
