It was last week when Dhanush’s ‘Karnan’ was released. Many celebrities and all the fans are showering their good wishes and compliments for the film. Karnan is running steadily in the theatres. However, the actor turned politician Udhayanidhi Stalin pointed out few errors in the films. Although he liked the efforts of the filmmakers and applauded the cast as well but informed the makers about the errors as well.

While pointing out the errors Stalin took to his Twitter account and wrote, “I watched Karnan. The film which speaks for the oppressed people with no exaggeration has to be celebrated. I spoke with Dhanush, Mari Selvaraj, and producer Kalaippuli S Thanu and congratulated them on the film. However, I found a factual error in it. The film is based on the Kadiyankulam tragedy which happened during the ruling of AIADMK(1995). But in the film, it is narrated as if the incident happened during DMK’s ruling (1997). I conveyed the message to the makers and they promised me to change it in a couple of days”.

Playing the supportive role the 96 fame actress Gauri Kishan and actor Lal can also be seen in the movie. This film not just saw the factual error issue but also fell into another controversy. Makers ran into trouble when a certain community expressed their distress over the lyrics of one song. The particular community found the lyrics of a particular song a bit offensive.
