Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara continues to reunite the relatives who got separated during the partition of the country in 1947.

In January, where Kartarpur Sahib had reunited two real brothers, now aunt and niece have met each other after a long time. The special thing is that the attempt for this meeting started in the middle of the COVID-19 period.

According to the information received after the 1971 War

Bawi Devi, a resident of Zaffarwal city in Narowal district of Pakistan, met her maternal aunt Bawi Devi living in Gurdaspur, India. Bawi Devi had moved to India in 1971 and was living with her family since then.

After the 1971 war, the distance between the two countries increased, but now both the families have been able to meet in Kartarpur Sahib. Both the families spent the whole day with each other and also promised to meet continuously.

Devi's son Sohal told that this meeting was possible only due to the Corona period. All were imprisoned in homes due to the lockdown during the Corona period. His mother used to talk about Mausi Bawi Devi. He started looking for them through the internet and he got success.

Relatives did not pick up Pakistan's calls

Sohal told that initially, he had to face a lot of difficulties to reach Aunty. He had earlier had contact with the family of his mother's aunt. When he told them everything, he couldn't believe it. Sometimes the aunt's family did not even pick up the phone. Finally, he was convinced that he could reach Aunty Bawi Devi.
