KBC-Junior winner Japsimran Kaur reveals her plans to spend Rs 50 lakh, shares her dream to join IIT Astor Physics

Proud moment for Jalandhar as a girl hailing from the city won Rs. 50 lakhs at KBC Junior. Class 8th student, Japsimran Kaur who is a resident of Maqsoodan not only reached one of the highest quiz platforms of India i.e. Kaun Banega Crorepati but also won a cash prize of Rs. 50 lakhs. She is a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Jalandhar.

Reportedly, Japsimran Kaur belongs to a middle-class family. While her father Baljit Singh is an engineer in the Railways her mother teaches at a Primary Government School in Mustafapur. Japsimran Kaur spends most of her time with her grandmother and she is the one who takes proper care of her as both parents are working. Japsimran Kaur says that she considers her grandmother to be her first mother as she is the one who helps in everything and also in her studies.

Japsimran Kaur also revealed that his father tried for Kaun Banega Crorepati as well but was not able to pass the fastest finger first. Her father says that he feels proud that she is his daughter as he realized his dream through Japsimran when she sat on the hot seat and won such a huge amount of cash prize.

Speaking about what Japsimran Kaur will do with the money she has won. The girl says that firstly she wants to get her grandmother treated. Her grandmother has some problems in her knees due to which she can’t walk properly. After the treatment is done, Japsimran says that remaining amount she will utilize for her studies. Japsimran aims to join IIT Astro Physics. She says that she is highly inspired by Kalpana Chawla and wants to become like her.
