The Kerala Story OTT details
Earlier, it was reported that The Kerala Story will be available for streaming on Zee5 either on January 12, 2024, or January 19, 2024. However, Zee5 did not release The Kerala Story in January 2024. Therefore, rumors are again intensified saying that The Kerala Story may be released in February secretly without any announcement due to its controversial content. It is pertinent to mention here that despite delivering a stellar performance in theaters, The Kerala Story could not get any OTT buyer. Not only this, but film-maker Vipul Amrutlal Shah stated that OTT platforms have banned the movie. "The Kerala Story is literally banned by all OTT platforms. Nobody wants to buy it, despite it being the biggest hit in terms of female-centric films in the history of Bharatiya cinema. We wouldn't have been able to make this film without the greatest guidance and support from the RSS," said Vipul who produced the movie.
The Kerala Story real story
As mentioned by the makers, the Kerala Story is a true story of Hindu and Christian girls in Kerala who were first trapped into love jihad by terror recruiters and were later sent to Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan to become ISIS terrorists. In 2021 in an interview with Citti Media, Sudipto Sen stated that he reached the numbers of 32,000 forced conversion of Hindu and Christian girls in Kerala based on his conversation with former Chief Minister of the State Oommen Chandy. As per Sen, Oommen Chandy had stated that "every year approximately 2,800 to 3,200 girls were taking up Islam" and so, it worked up to 32,000 in 10 years. Although AltNews had called it fake, but when the Taliban took over Afghanistan, it was reported that 4 Indian women were lodged in Afghan jail.
Later it was reported that they had gone to Afghanistan to join ISIS. To be precise, the four Indian women lodged in an Afghanistan prison had accompanied their husbands to join the Islamic State in Khorasan Province (ISKP). Although their parents requested the Government of India for their freedom and bring them back to India, they were not allowed and were left in an Afghan prison.
