After a lot of buzzes, today on the auspicious day of Raksha Bandhan the makers of KGF Chapter 2 have announced the release date of the film. KGF 2, which features Sanjay Dutt and Kannada star Yash, would hit the theatres on April 14, 2022.
While sharing this announcement Yash wrote, “The uncertainties of today will only delay our resolve, but the eventuality is as promised. We will be out in theatres on April 14th, 2022.”
The film features Raveena Tandon, Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Prakash Raj, Malavika Avinash, Achyuth Kumar and Srinidhi Shetty. Kannada superstar Yash will return with the sequel to KGF, who be seen as the dreaded criminal, Rocky. It will also feature Sanjay Dutt as Adheera, the antagonist of the story.

KGF Chapter 2 is a multilingual film that would be released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi. Four satellite channels - Zee Tamil, Zee Telugu, Zee Keralam and Zee Kannada, have bagged the worldwide satellite rights of the film.
The film was first scheduled to be released in July 2021 but was postponed due to the global pandemic Covid-19.
The film would now clash with Prabhas’s Salaar which would also release on April 14, 2022. Indian action thriller film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel, starring Prabhas and Shruti Haasan. The first look from the film would be revealed on Monday (August 23, 2021).
