Khalistanis protest outside the Indian embassy in Washington DC, says “We are not terrorist”

Unprecedented anarchy was seen on the streets of Delhi when thousands of protesting farmers broke barricades and seized the historic Red Fort monument.

Khalistanis in Washington DC is holding a protest outside the Indian embassy in solidarity to the farmers protesting against the three farm laws in India. 

Many are seen carrying Khalistan flags and placards and raising slogans against Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

“We are farmers, not terrorists”, was written on the placards. 

This development comes after thousands of protesters indulged in a clash with the police at several places in Delhi, breaking barricades, farmers went on a rampage and hoisted the religious flag on the poles of the historic monument Red Fort. 

 

Khalistanis support farmers' protest

Another shocking video has come from the Indian embassy in Rome, Italy where the Khalistan supporters raised the Khalistan flag at the embassy.  News agency Asianet in a video showed the walls of the Indian Embassy in Rome can be seen painted with the “Khalistan Zindabad” slogan.

It was also reported that torn copies of the Indian Constitution were thrown on the streets by Khalistanis. 

 

Republic Day Tractor parade turned violent 

On the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day, the national capital witnessed a horrible sight of lawlessness when thousands of farmers protesting against the three farm laws carried a tractor march towards Delhi that turned violent and ugly as they seized the Red Fort. One protester was seen raising a yellow coloured flag at a high pole of the monument.  

Deviating from the pre-determined route, the protestors came to central Delhi after which violence erupted near ITO area. 

Protestors driving tractors even tried to run over police personnel deployed in the area, attacked them with swords, videos showed farmers and Nihangs vandalising public property. 

More than 86 police personnel were injured in the attack and as per the media reports, many are in critical condition.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait has blamed the violence on antisocial elements present in the protest, adding that political parties have caused the disorder.

The BKU leader also alleged that the Delhi Police had wrongly placed barricades at some places of the pre-decided routes of the parade.
