Indian Medical Association organised a Seven-Day AnnualSports Meet 2021 in Jalandhar. The event began with a marathon from IMA Hall onNovember 7. The sporting event has come to an end on Sunday i.e. November 14.
On the last day, Ms Khyati Kohli, Managing Director, TrueScoop inaugurated the Athletic Meet at Innocent Hearts Fields, Nakodar Road,Loharan. She appreciated the IMA’s Athletic Meet cause and thanked the medicalfraternity for their relentless efforts during pandemic. She also encouragedthe participants with a motivational speech and highlighted the benefits ofhaving a sound body and a mind.
After this, a prize distribution function is scheduledwhich is to be presided over by Cabinet Minister Pargat Singh at Hotel RegentPark, Jalandhar. Also, Dr. Bishav Mohan (DM Cardiology), Professor, MedicalSuperintendent, Ludhiana will share his views on ‘Challenges in the Diagnosis& Management of Pulmonary Embolism’ before the prize distribution function.
The Annual Sports Meet began on November 7. Differentsporting events were scheduled on different days. Kids participated with fullenthusiasm in various games like carom, badminton, table-tennis, etc. A cricketmatch was also played among the teams of doctors out of which a winner and arunner-up were selected and were given prizes.
In the Athletic Meet, 100m race, 200m race, javelinthrow, long jump, high jump and relay race were played on November 14. TheAnnual Meet was organised by President Dr Amarjeet Singh, Sr Vice President DrV.P. Sharma, Vice Presidents, Dr R.S. Bal, Dr Deepak Chawla, Dr H.S. Bhutani,Hony. Secretary Dr Naresh K.
