Indian Medical Association organised a Seven-Day Annual Sports Meet 2021 in Jalandhar. The event began with a marathon from IMA Hall on November 7. The sporting event has come to an end on Sunday i.e. November 14.
On the last day, Ms Khyati Kohli, Managing Director, True Scoop inaugurated the Athletic Meet at Innocent Hearts Fields, Nakodar Road, Loharan. She appreciated the IMA’s Athletic Meet cause and thanked the medical fraternity for their relentless efforts during pandemic. She also encouraged the participants with a motivational speech and highlighted the benefits of having a sound body and a mind.
After this, a prize distribution function is scheduled which is to be presided over by Cabinet Minister Pargat Singh at Hotel Regent Park, Jalandhar. Also, Dr. Bishav Mohan (DM Cardiology), Professor, Medical Superintendent, Ludhiana will share his views on ‘Challenges in the Diagnosis & Management of Pulmonary Embolism’ before the prize distribution function.
The Annual Sports Meet began on November 7. Different sporting events were scheduled on different days. Kids participated with full enthusiasm in various games like carom, badminton, table-tennis, etc. A cricket match was also played among the teams of doctors out of which a winner and a runner-up were selected and were given prizes.

In the Athletic Meet, 100m race, 200m race, javelin throw, long jump, high jump and relay race were played on November 14. The Annual Meet was organised by President Dr Amarjeet Singh, Sr Vice President Dr V.P. Sharma, Vice Presidents, Dr R.S. Bal, Dr Deepak Chawla, Dr H.S. Bhutani, Hony. Secretary Dr Naresh K. Bathla, Asstt. Secretary Dr Puneet Pal S. Grover, Secretary Finance Dr M.S. Bhutani, Asstt. Finance Dr Amandeep Singh, Media Advisor Dr S.P.S. Grover, Asstt. Media Advisor Dr Pooja Kapoor and others.
