Bhopal: Mr. Lalji Tandon was administered the oath of office as Madhya Pradesh Governor by High Court Acting Chief Justice Ravi Shankar Jha during a ceremony at the Raj Bhavan on Monday.
The dignitaries present on the occasion were Chief Minister Kamal Nath, Assembly Speaker Narmada Prasad Prajapati, Leader of the Opposition Gopal Bhargava, numerous ministers, legal luminaries, a galaxy of Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders besides senior officers.

Mr. Tandon was hitherto serving as Bihar Governor. He succeeds Mrs. Anandiben Patel who was reassigned to Uttar Pradesh.
