Delhi University (DU) released the first cut-off list for UG courses for some colleges on Thursday, a day ahead of the scheduled date. Students can check the official website - du.ac.in - to view college-wise and subject wise cut-offs and start applying accordingly. Depending on the availability of seats after the first list, the university colleges issue second and, where needed third cut-off lists.
Colleges from North and South campuses including SRCC, Miranda House, Hansraj College, Kirori Mal College, Jesu, Gargi College, PGDAV, Satyawati College, Bhagini Nivedita College, Mata Sundari College for Women, Dyal Singh College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, Ks and Mary Collegeeshav Mahavidyalaya and Shivaji College have released their first cut-off list.
As per reports, the highest cut-off in DU is 99% for political science in Hindu College. Hindu College has also announced the highest cut-off for science courses at 98.3% for physics Hons.

Lady Shri Ram College's cut-off for BA Prog and psychology Honours is at 98.75%. For admission to BCom (Hons) course in Shri Ram College of Commerce or SRCC, general category students will need 98.5%, which saw an increase of .75% from last year.
The cut-off has, however, remained the same for admission to BA Economics (Hons) at 98.75%. North-campus based St Stephens College released its first cut-off two days earlier.
In Kirori Mal College, the cut-off for popular courses like BA English (Hons), BA Economics (Hons) and BCom (Hons) is above 97%. While the cut-off for English remained the same as last year, there is a .5 percent increase in economics cut-off in KMC this year.
The cut-off of North campus-based Hansraj College has increased marginally (.5%) in a few programs including BA economics (Hons). General candidates will need 97.25% for BA English (Hons) and 98.5% for BA Economics (Hons). For BCom, the cut-off is 98.25%.
In Jesus and Mary College, the students who are planning to get admission for BA psychology will need to have 98% with 85% and above in psychology (in Class 12) and 99% without psychology or securing less than 85% in psychology.
The highest cut-off in Bhagini Nivedita has been set for BSc (H) Physics at 90% for the general category.
For UG admissions, maximum entries were in the unreserved category - 1,52,478 students followed by 5,5457 under OBC, 34,262 under SC and 7,100 under ST category.
In the newly introduced EWS category, a total of 9091 applications came in for undergraduate admissions.
Just like every year, most of the applications were registered from the Central Board of Secondary Education students.
As many as 2.05 lakh students applied form CBSE followed by 8,755 applications by UP Board and 8,398 applications by the Council for the Indian School Certification Examination.
Since the number of students clearing CBSE 12 with 95% marks has increased from last year, the DU cut off too has increased, as expected.
