Kim Seokjin, aka Jin, became the first BTS member to join the mandatory South Korean military service and has again made the headline after his recent photo while in training surfaced from the military base. The picture that has surfaced online shows him donning a buzzcut which he opted for before enlisting in the military.

In the viral photo which has been shared by The Camp (a website for people to stay updated with Koreans in the military), in the picture Jin is seen striking a subtle smile for the camera, dressed in the Army uniform.

While now a video of him is making rounds online which is showing him lifting chairs alongside his fellow course members while in training at the camp, where his face is covered in the mask.

As soon as the video and picture reached the fans of the global figure BTS, many started expressing their emotions over his uniform looks, while there were others who expressed anguish for letting.

A fan wrote, “Proud of Jin serving in Military this proves that BTS team can do anything or any work proud of BTS team.” “Jin looks so good in military uniform,” added another.

Many of the BTS armies also expressed their displeasure with the photos being leaked. One of them tweeted, “Jin literally asked for privacy yet you still think it's ok to consume military propaganda like it's crack.”

"Just a disclaimer that I will sue anyone sharing or retweeting photos of Jin in the military, if it doesn't come directly from him I don’t want to see it on my timeline,” wrote one of the die-hard fans of the globally recognized Korean band.

BTS’ senior-most member joined the Army on December 13th and was accompanied by BTS members RM, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.

Jin is currently serving at the Division Recruit Training Center, Yeoncheon army base in northern Gyeonggi province as an active duty soldier. His 18 months of service are scheduled to end on June 12, 2024, a day before BTS will finish its 11th anniversary.

BTS’s other members will follow Jin for the services soon and will return as the full group no earlier than 2025, reports say that until then the group will remain focused on their solo careers.
