‘Korean’ woman YouTuber harassed in Mumbai while live-streaming, probe underway; video viral

The Mumbai Police through its Twitter handle also asked the woman to share her contact details with them.

Various YouTubers from around the world visit India and show audiences of their area the country’s culture, people, etc. A shocking incident took place on the streets of Mumbai that painted a bad picture of country in front of people. A YouTuber originally from South Korea named Mhyochi as per her Twitter handle was harassed in Mumbai by two miscreants. Video of same has also gone viral on various social media platforms.

A video surfaced on Twitter wherein reportedly, a South Korean woman was harassed in Mumbai by two people while she was live-streaming. Due to this whole incident was captured on camera. The incident reported is from Mumbai’s Khar area. In the video that has gone viral, a miscreant can be seen holding woman’s hand and then taking her towards his vehicle. Later on, he also puts his hand on her shoulder after which she asks him to stay away and leave from the scene. Soon after this, 2 miscreants riding on bike come from behind and force her to sit on their vehicle.

The woman sharing the video explained what all happened with her. She wrote, “Last night on stream, there was a guy who harassed me. I tried my best not to escalate the situation and leave because he was with his friend. And some people said that it was initiated by me being too friendly and engaging the conversation. Makes me think again about streaming."

Reportedly, the Mumbai Police stated that they did not receive any complaint related to incident that happened but they have taken notice of it. The Mumbai Police through its Twitter handle also asked the woman to share her contact details with them. As per information, a probe regarding the case in underway. A case of sexual assault has been lodged based on the video surfaced.
