Kota: IIT student commits suicide in front of mother; jumped from the 9th floor due to study pressure

In Kota, Rajasthan, a coaching student again committed suicide due to the pressure of his studies. He jumped from the ninth floor on Friday in front of his mother. There was a pit in the ground where he fell. This incident was captured in CCTV.

Hearing the sound of the student falling, the people of the building reached the spot and took him to the hospital, but he died on the way. The incident happened in a residential building near the Jawahar Nagar police station in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar.

The student name was Swarna, a 16-year-old boy. He was a resident of Kolkata. He had been residing here for a year and a half while getting ready for both engineering and the eleventh grade. His mother also lived with him.

Swarna's mother, Sangeeta, said that her son was experiencing stress because of his studies. He had asked to talk to the teacher in coaching. The teacher did not answer the phone when she called him. On this, she told her son that she will go to coaching and talk. He jumped down in the midst of it.

Dhanraj Vaishnav, who works in the building, said that he was standing outside when the guard informed him about the child's suicide. When he reached to tell his mother, he came to know that Swarna had jumped in front of his mother.

Gaurav Sharma, who works in the society, said that he was coming from the garden side when the child fell down. He picked him up, pressed his ear, and took him to the hospital in the auto. The doctor checked him and declared him brought dead.

DCP Ankit Jain said that the student has committed suicide due to the stress of his studies. The family has denied the postmortem. Action will be taken based on the complaint of the family members.
