Jalandhar and Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar, SSP (Rural) Jalandhar has been appointed Patron and Senior Vice President, respectively of the country's renowned Surjit Hockey Society, Jalandhar.
As per the constitution of the society, the Working President of the society Lakhwinder Pal Singh Khaira, Senior Vice President Ram Pratap, General Secretary Surinder Singh Bhapa, Secretary Ranbir Singh Tut, international players Harinder Singh Gill, Arvinder Singh Kular Binder (Sofi pind) today handed over the appointment letters to Kuldeep Chahal and Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar as Patron and Sr. Vice President of the society, respectively.
On this occasion, Kuldeep Chahal Police Commissioner Jalandhar said that all the members of Surjit Hockey Society have taken the Surjit Hockey Tournament to the international level due to their hard work and dedication in the last 40 years, they have brought the former captain of the Indian hockey team andimmortalized the name of Olympian Surjit Singh. Meanwhile, SSP (Rural), Jalandhar Mukhwinder Singh Bhullar said that Surjit Hockey Society has an important contribution in the progress of hockey and now Jalandhar is also known for hosting the famous Surjit Hockey Tournament of the country. He said that we will extend support to make the upcoming tournament a success.
