Team Idia skipper Rohit Sharma is known for his unfiltered chats with players from every team. Every IPL franchise films his interactive video with their players on their social media handles. However, this time, Rohit Sharma's video with KKR Coach Abhishek Nayar has sparked a controversy. Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians will lock horns with the top-of-the-table team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Saturday at the iconic Eden Garden. While there are reports that Rohit Sharma may quit Mumbai Indians after IPL 2024, KKR's deleted video has sparked a massive row among fans on social media.

While Rohit didn't namedrop his franchise, his words seemed to suggest he was talking about the Mumbai Indians. "Ek ek cheez change ho raha hai... (Everything is changing one by one). Woh unke upar hai, main ye sab pe dhyaan nahi data... (It depends on them, I don't care about that),” Rohit could be heard telling Nayar in the backdrop of consistent fan chanting.

Amid the noise, Rohit was heard saying, "Jo bhi hai woh mera ghar hai bhai, woh temple jo hai na maine banwaya hai. (Whatever it is, it's my home. It's a temple that I've built)." However, what raised everyone's eyebrows when Rohit Sharma said, " Muje kya ye to mera last h (This will be my last one)."

This statement by Rohit Sharma has hinted that he might be leaving Mumbai Indians after IPL 2024. Rohit Sharma who led Mumbai Indians to win the IPL five times was sacked as the skipper and Hardik Pandya was appointed as the new captain. Ever since then, the Mumbai Indians (MI) have failed to impress the fans. Not only this, despite having star players, MI is on the verge of elimination from IPL 2024.  Notably, during an interview of MI's Head Coach Mark Boucher in the past also went viral in which he was quoted saying that it was part transition and the decision has been taken keeping the future in mind. However, Rohit Sharma's wife Ritika had commented on it saying that 'it is so wrong'. She later deleted her comment.

Ever since then, fans are expressing their anger against Hardik Pandya on social media as well as on the ground.
