Launch of e-CARe portal facilities for seemless transfer of deceased Indian Nationals from abroad

Applicant can submit application directly on portal working 24x7

Deputy Commissioner Captain Karnail Singh on Tuesday said that the ecare.mohfw.gov.in portal had been initiated for transfer of dead bodies or mortal remains of Indian nationals died abroad.

Giving further information, Captain Karnail Singh said that the applicants could submit their direct requests on this portal in such cases, which was being in operation 24X7 by the Union Ministry of Health and family Welfare. A communique in this regard was received from Punjab Government’s NRIs Affairs Department to apprise the people about this so that in such cases the portal can be utilized.

Pertinently, the Union Government had launched e-CARe (e-clearance for after life remains) to ensure fast transfer of bodies and mortal remains of Indian nationals from foreign lands. The portal is being monitored round the clock to scrutinize the applications as well as fast track approvals besides seamless coordination for entire process.
