Lok Sabha adjourned for the day; 2 more TDP members suspended

New Delhi, Jan 3: The Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day by the speaker Sumitra Mahajan after naming and suspending two more members for four days on Thursday for creating uproar and 'wilfully violating rules'.
When the House met after second adjournment at 1400 hrs, members who were suspended earlier in the day, gathered into the Well and raised slogans.
Ms Mahajan expelled TDP members Pandula Ravindra Babu and Kesineni Srinivas under rule 374 (A) that allows Lok Sabha Speaker to suspend members in the event of grave disorder occasioned by a member coming into the Well of the House or abusing the rules of the House, among other things.

Under the Rule,  any member named by the Speaker shall "stand automatically suspended from the service of the House".

"Please leave the House. You have come to the Well of the House and abused the rules of the House,'', the Speaker said and asked the members to vacate the precincts of the House.

Earlier, in the pre-lunch session, Ms Mahajan named and suspended 19 AIADMK and TDP members from attending the proceedings of the House for four days for creating uproar over Cauvery issue and Special Category status demand for Andhra Pradesh.
Ms Mahajan has named and suspended 25 AIADMK members from attending the proceedings of the House for five days for creating uproar over Cauvery issue on Wednesday.
Apart from discussion on Rafale issue, various bills, including Companies Bill and The Aadhaar and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill,  were among the listed business of the day.
Earlier, the House was adjourned twice -- till 1200 hrs and till 1400 hrs.
