Triple Talaq Bill to make a comeback in the afternoon session of Lok Sabha

New Delhi: Bedlam continued in the Lok Sabha on Thursday over Rafale and other issues and the House was adjourned till 1400 hrs. Amid the din, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan allowed Zero Hour mention by the members. Raising the issue of creamy layer in relation to reservation, Dharmendra Yadav (Samajwadi Party) staged a walkout.

        Among others, Sikh members Bhagwant Mann (AAP), P S Chandumajra (Akali Dal) and BJP member and Union Minister SS Ahluwalia raised the issue of martyrdom of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh. AAP member Mr Mann said Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh were buried in the wall but they did not give up their faith and honour. He was quickly supported by Akali Dal member Mr Chandumajra. Congress member Ranjeet Ranjan also echoed similar sentiment. The members insisted that the House should observe few minutes of silence to pay homage to the Sikh Gurus.

       When Mr Kharge wanted to make his observation on Rafale deal and the demand for JPC during the question hour, the Speaker assured him that he would be given chance at 12 noon.

     As the uproar continued, the Speaker adjourned the House till 1400 hrs. Later in the afternoon, the Lok Sabha is scheduled to take up the much talked about the Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill that seeks to put a ban on the practice of instant divorce among Muslims.
