Florida man's death after eating raw Oysters has induced fear among Americans as the state has registered two deaths within a month. Louisiana Oysters have come into the scanner of the Americans and social media after it was found a common factor in the death of the two Americans. While the Dallas man suffered a bacterial infection after eating raw oysters in Florida, the other was Roger “Rocky” Pinckney from South Florida. Both of them died after consuming Louisiana Oysters.

Roger Rocky ate raw oysters, while a Dallas man named Rodney Jackson suffered from Vibrio bacterial infection named Vibrio Vulnificus. Although drugs were found in Rocky's medical reports, the facts suggest that eating oysters is proving to be deadly for Americans. In fact, US media reports suggest that 100s of Americans get killed due to Oyster eating. Notably, Rocky's blood tested positive for vibrio vulnificus, a bacteria found in warm seawater that can cause illness.

In Florida alone, 26 people have been infected from the bacteria in which 6 of them died after eating raw shellfish, including Oysters. In 2021, 34 people became sick and 10 of those died. In 2020, there were seven deaths among the 36 who became ill.
