LPU founder Ashok Mittal along with Cricketer Harbhajan Singh to be announced as AAP’s Rajya Sabha Candidate

One name is still left to be decided by the party.

Aam Aadmi Party has announced 3 candidates for Rajya Sabha from Punjab. These include Jalandhar-based cricketer Harbhajan Singh, Phagwara-based Lovely Professional University (LPU), the party's Punjab co-in-charge Raghav Chadha and Delhi IIT professor Dr. Sandeep Pathak.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is all set to send LPU founder Ashok Kumar Mittal and former cricketer Harbhajan Singh from Jalandhar to Rajya Sabha in the biennial elections from Punjab. It is learned that the decision has been taken by Delhi High Command Arvind Kejriwal.

Only MLAs will vote for the election of Rajya Sabha members. For this, the total number of MLAs is divided by adding 1 to the vacant seats of Rajya Sabha. After that, one is added to the figure that comes. Whoever gets the support of the number of MLAs, will become a member.
