In a heartbreaking development, an Engineering student of Lovely Professional University (LPU) died by suicide on Saturday. The LPU student was identified as Varun Kumar Subudhi, a resident of Hyderabad. Varun was living in a PG in Maheru's 'Law Gate area'. Lovely Professional University is among the top private universities located in Chaheru, Phagwara, Punjab, India.
Talking more about the LPU student's suicide, Varun was found hanging inside his PG room. The Police arrived at the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. An initial investigation by the police revealed that Varun was allegedly going through depression. Due to this, he took this step. At present, the police have taken action under CrPC 174 in the case and have kept the body in the mortuary of Civil Hospital Phagwara till the arrival of his family.
Varun Subudhi's family has reportedly left for Jalandhar from Hyderabad. At present, the police have not found any suicide notes on the spot. If the family suspects someone behind the suicide, then the police will take appropriate action in the matter.
