Talking about Luana Andrade's death reason, Luana Andrade died after undergoing liposuction surgery on her knee at a hospital in Sao Paulo. As per reports, Luana Andrade suffered from 4 cardiac arrests after complications arose during the cosmetic procedure. For the unversed, liposuction, or simply lipo, is a fat-removal procedure used in plastic surgery.
As per a report, the influencer's heart stopped approximately two and a half hours into the surgery. The doctors stopped the fat removal procedure and tried to revive her. Luana Andrade was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) when things became too serious.
The initial report mentions Luana Andrade's cause of death. It says that the influencer suffered from a pulmonary embolism, which was associated with a thrombosis.
Sao Palo Hospital also issued a statement on Luana Andrade's death. It said, "The surgery was interrupted and the patient underwent tests that revealed massive thrombosis. She was transferred to the ICU where she underwent medication and hemodynamic treatment."
Luana Andrade's boyfriend, Joao Hadad took to his Instagram and penned an emotional note saying, "I am torn apart and living my biggest nightmare. A part of me left."
