Amidst the ongoing fuel crisis in the country, panic ensued in the state of Punjab causing people to rush to Petrol Stations to fill their tanks before the perceived fuel drought occurs. During this, Ludhiana DC Surabhi Malik has issued a statement urging the Ludhiana citizens to stay calm and not to indulge in panic buying.

The panic buying has further resulted in shortage of the fuel currently available before supplies resume. She affirms the citizens that the police and the relevant departments are trying their utmost to ensure that no essential services are hampered.

She also urged the citizens to not believe in any of the rumours surrounding the fuel crisis. She further informs that joint efforts with other districts are being made to establish a supply chain so that no hindrances are experienced. Efforts are being made to ensure that no obstacles are experienced in the essential services such as the fuel supply. The “perceived” shortage of fuel will be efficiently dealt with.
