Ludhiana: DPS school bus carrying 2 children horrifically collides with trolley near Doraha

The driver, helper and two children thankfully escaped harm in the accident which saw the school bus turn upside down in Doraha

A horrific collision took place amidst dense fog between a school bus and a trolley near Doraha in the Ludhiana district. The collision was so severe that it caused the school bus to overturn. The driver, helper and two children thankfully escaped harm in the accident. The police were informed who promptly arrived at the scene.

 

According to the information received, the Delhi Public School bus was standing near Gurudwara Sahib of Ajnod on the canal road after picking up the children from Doraha. During this time, the bus was waiting there to pick up the teacher. While overtaking a sound van which was approaching from behind, a trolley loaded with goods came and collided with the stationary bus. The police reached the spot and started investigation.

 

The trolley driver, however claims that this accident happened due to the negligence of the school bus driver. The driver said that the school bus driver had stopped the bus in the middle of the road due to fog. On the other hand, the transport in-charge of the school said that the bus was parked on the roadside. Regarding this matter, Doraha police station SHO Vijay Kumar said that he reached the spot immediately after receiving the information. The children, driver and helper in the bus were safe. The matter is being investigated and the involved parties’ statements are being recorded.
