Shocking news from Ludhiana has come to fore where a businessman from Jalandhar got duped of 3 lakh rupees by Ludhiana-based miscreants. As per information, victim visited Ludhiana for sale of his sports goods where he met the two accused and finalized the deal with them. The accused assured victim of paying a high amount but in American dollars.
Reportedly victim has been identified as Raj Kumar. As per him, the miscreants earlier paid him 20 dollars due to which they won his trust. After some time, fraudsters called Raj Kumar near village Sikhawal Road to pay the pending amount. Post this, Raj Kumar paid 3 lakh 7 thousand rupees to accused and in return take American Dollars from them after which the accused left.
Within no time Raj Kumar realized that he was duped as when he opened the envelope, instead of American dollars plain papers were found. Later on, he reported the incident to nearby police station.
Senior police officers including ADCP Rupinder Kaur Saran, CIA in-charge Rajesh Sharma and police station SHO reached the spot and came to know about the whole incident that happened. A complaint against accused was lodged by Raj Kumar and investigation was initiated.
The CIA team went through the CCTV cameras installed in the area and gathered all footage. For the time being 3 to 4 people are under scanner in relation to the case.
