In a shocking development, a man opened fire on an NRI's bungalow located on Kachha Malak Road in Jagraon city of Punjab on Tuesday night. Police reached the spot and recovered 2 bullet shells, and after examining the CCTV, a case has been registered against 2 accused including an unknown person in Police Station City.
The accused has been identified as Tarun Kumar. Tarun Kumar is a resident Rampura Doraha and an unknown person. In this case, the Police reportedly informed that the victim woman Navdeep Kaur resident of village Tihara Patti Multani Sidhwan Bet (currently resident of Kachha Malak Road Street No. 4 Jagraon) has lodged a complaint.
In the complaint, it was revealed that her younger sister lives in Ludhiana. The accused had leaked an obscene photo of her sister. As a result, her sister's photo went viral on social media in the year 2023. Her sister had complained about this to the Ludhiana Police. Since that day, the accused was threatening her on the phone.
The victim woman in her complaint alleged that her father has a commission agent (Arhtiya) shop in Jagraon Grain Market. After his death, she comes to Jagraon every year from Canada with her husband during the rice and wheat season to look after her father's business. This time when she came, she stayed at her father's house on Kachha Malak Road.
The accused came to know about this. He came to their street on a bike at night. First, the accused knocked on the door of the house. Then he started ringing the bell. When no one opened the door, the accused brought a revolver and fired 2 to 3 shots toward the house. After this, he fled. The victim said that she was alone at home. Since it was late at night, she informed the police about this incident in the morning.
