Ludhiana administration reopens restaurants and eateries in the district from 7am to 7pm. Only Home delivery

DC clarified that the instructions issued by the Government of Punjab regarding COVID-19 should be followed strictly.

Restaurants and eateries opened in Ludhiana on Saturday after district magistrate allowed the opening of restaurants, eateries, ice cream shops, sweet shops and juice shops in the district from 7am to 7pm only for home delivery. Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Aggrawal took the big decision. 

Giving great relief to the residents of Ludhiana district, Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Kumar Aggarwal issued an order today to open all restaurants, food and beverage shops, confectionery, ice cream shops and juice shops from 7 am to 7 pm. He clarified that there will be a complete ban on sitting at these places and taking food and taking them home. Oly home delivery of food will be allowed.


Pradeep said that these shopkeepers will have to maintain cleanliness in their shops. It will be mandatory to check and record daily fever etc. of every employee working, cleaning every part, washing hands periodically, using masks, social distance, and following other instructions. He said that food and beverages should be packed well during door-to-door delivery. Vehicles must be clean and disinfected.

The delivery boys must wear gloves and a face mask. He will not touch the doorbell. DC clarified that the instructions issued by the Government of Punjab regarding COVID-19 should be followed strictly. Strict action will be taken against the violator.
