Ludhiana Video: Auto driver creates ruckus carrying pregnant wife in arms, alleges ASI for seeking bribe

The auto driver alleged that ASI demanded Rs. 500 bribe to not fine him and let him take his wife to hospital.

In the latest development, an auto driver created ruckus at the bus stand accusing that ASI posted at the spot demanded bribe for letting him and his wife go to the hospital. The incident was reported from Ludhiana, Punjab. Whole incident was shot by the people witnessing the uproar.

Reportedly, an auto driver was taking his pregnant wife for a check-up at the DMC Hospital. On the way, he was stopped by ASI posted on duty who fined him for coming from the wrong side. The auto driver alleged that ASI demanded Rs. 500 bribe to not fine him and let him take his wife to hospital. The ASI refused to do so after which the auto driver created a ruckus at the bus stand. Post this, he carried his wife in arms and said, “I will take my pregnant wife to the hospital carrying her like this if ASI would not let them go by auto.”

ASI Bakshish Singh denied all charges put up against him and stated that auto driver did not have RC of the vehicle for which he was stopped. He stated in his defence that he did not ask for any bribe. He further added that auto was released after seeing the RC and receiving the fine. After this, a clash between the two surfaced and went on for 1-2 hours. Various other police officials also reached the spot to solve the matter.
