The Election Commission of India (ECI) in its early trends suggests that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to come back to power, while Congress' dreams are getting shattered. Former MP CM Kamal Nath reached the Congress office in MP which has turned into a 'war-room' if any kind of miscalculation is reported in the Madhya Pradesh Election Results 2023. As per the EC's early trends in Madhya Pradesh, BJP is leading on 73 seats, while the Congress is leading on 28 seats. There are a total of 230 seats in MP and to secure victory in the Madhya Pradesh election 2023, a party needs to secure at least 116 seats.
Incumbent CM of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, took to his official X handle, and expressed his jubilation saying that his party is coming back to power. MP CM wrote, " (Translated Version) 'Bharat Mata ki Jai, Janta Janardan ki Jai' Today the results of Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections are coming and I am confident that with the blessings of the people and the able leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, Bharatiya Janata Party is going to form the government again with full majority."
