According to independent reports Maharashtra’s Minister for Home Affairs, Mr. Anil Deshmukh has stated that veteran Bollywood film maker, Mahesh Bhatt could be summoned by the Mumbai police on the 27th of July 2020 in relation to the Sushant Singh Rajput suicide case. As per Mr. Deshmukh’s directions, Bhatt will maybe asked to record his statements with the Mumbai Police Department as a part of the ongoing investigation. These instructions come shortly after Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut’s recent “online” outbursts where she claimed that Bhatt along with other “influential personalities from Bollywood” were responsible for the untimely death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and that it wasn’t infact “suicide”, it was “murder”! As per Ranaut, Bhatt along with others pressurized Sushant to a level where he simply couldn’t take it anymore and decided to take such a drastic step.

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s manager too could be summoned and according to reports, Karan Johar himself might be summoned if required.

Kangana Ranaut furthermore added that, Bhatt had all along been trying to pull the strings in Sushant Singh Rajput’s personal and professional life. She said- "Sushant's girlfriend at the time Rhea in her statement mentioned Mahesh Bhatt. How is he related? Bhatt's first AD has written how Bhatt used to counsel him. Who was Mahesh Bhatt in Sushant's life? What was Mahesh Bhatt doing between Rhea and him? Everyone wants to know. Why is Mumbai Police not calling Mahesh Bhatt for questioning?"
