A shocking video has come to the fore from Thane in Maharashtra where a girl was molested by an auto-rickshaw driver. The incident took place on Friday when the accused forced the girl to sit in his auto and on being refused, he ruthlessly dragged the girl for 500 meters. A case was registered and the accused was arrested based on the statement of the victim.
Reportedly, the girl was on her way to college when the driver who was standing on the side of the road started passing obscene comments to the victim. When the girl protested against the same, the accused held her hand and forced her to sit in his auto. Post this, when the girl tried to free her hand, the driver dragged her for 500 meters in a moving auto. The girl fought bravely and got safe in midway.
The victim has been identified as a 22-year-old girl. Based on the statement the accused has been arrested by the police and his vehicle is also under the custody of the police. The case registered against driver is under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code.
