In a major development, the Punjab Government on Friday transferred 21 IPS officers including SSPs of 7 districts and SPs of 3 districts in the state. In the latest notification issued by the Department of Home Affairs of the Government of Punjab, IPS Officer Swapan Sharma who was serving as Jalandhar Police Commissioner has been transferred as DIG, Ferozepur Range. On the other hand, IPS Officer Dhanpreet Kaur will now be the new Police Commissioner of Jalandhar. Dhanpreet Kaur was previously serving as IGP, Ludhiana Range.
