Major reshuffle in Punjab: Govt removes AGDP Law and Order; 70 officers including IAS and IPS transferred

The Punjab government has transferred 70 officers in the administrative reshuffle; removed ADGP Law and Order Naresh Kumar.

In an administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has transferred 70 officers. This contains seven IAS officers and fourteen IPS officers. The most crucial issue is that ADGP Law and Order Naresh Kumar has been removed by the Mann government. This charge has not yet been assigned to another officer. The Punjab government has been repeatedly questioned about law and order.

 Kapurthala DC Vishesh Sarangal, on the other hand, has been appointed as the Kapurthala Municipal Corporation Commissioner. Amritsar Municipal Corporation Commissioner Karnail Singh has been appointed.

Along with the Finance Secretary, Gurpreet Kaur Sapra will now be the Divisional Commissioner of Jalandhar. Pradeep Kumar has been assigned to the Transport Department as Special Secretary. Neelima has been appointed as the State Health Agency's Food and Drug Commissioner and CEO. DPI College and Technical Education Secretary will be Rajeev Kumar Gupta. T. Benith has also been appointed as the ADC Development of Mansa, with responsibility for urban development. Manish Kumar, an IFS officer, has been named Director of Environment and Climate Change.

Human Rights have been assigned to ADGP Naresh Kumar, who replaced this officer in the police force. LK Yadav has been ordered to report to the DGP till a new posting. Ludhiana's new Joint Police Commissioner will be Narinder Bhargava.
