Malaika Arora shares a great hack to 'boost lung health' amid surge in COVID 19 cases

Malaika Arora recently shared a health hack to help increase lung capacity as the country fights a second wave of COVID 19. The actress even encouraged others to do it at home every day.

India has been fighting the second wave of COVID 19 for the past few weeks. As the number of cases has risen, state governments have placed restrictions and people have been advised to remain indoors. In the midst of this, Malaika Arora has shared a health tip with social media users that will help them improve their lung capacity.


Malaika, who is known for her love of fitness, often recommends yoga asanas and home exercises on her social media accounts.

Now, as the country fights COVID 19 and residents are advised to remain indoors, Malaika shared a breathing exercise that can help people improve their lung health. Malaika urged everyone to practise it every day in a video she shared on her Instagram account.


"Hold your breath for the red ball to spin 2 times, which is natural lungs, 5 rounds is solid lungs, and 10 rounds is superhuman lungs," reads the text on the picture. A image of a pair of lungs with a red ball in a circle could be seen in the video. One was asked to hold their breath for as long as they could safely while the red ball rolled across the lungs.

A person's lungs are healthy if they can hold their breath for 5 spins of the pitch.
