The police have arrested a male nurse on the charges of filming the doctors by hiding his camera in the changing room on Friday from a hospital in Bengaluru.
The complaint was filed by the Director of Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics. Marutesha is 31 years old male nurse.
A young female surgeon noticed a mobile phone at around 9:30am on Friday in the changing room. According to police, the mobile phone as informed by the female nurse was hidden in the changing room and set on recording mode.
The surgeon had noticed that she was being filmed before going to the operation theatre. After she alerted other doctors, they caught the camera and found out that it belonged to the male nurse working on contract in the hospital.
Later on the director filed a police complaint in Tilak Nagar police station.
The accused has bene booked under section 354-C and 201. As per reports, the accused has not yet shared any of the video anywhere but it has come to the notice of the police that he was filming doctors for past two months.
Marutesha has been sent to judicial custody after he was produced before the magistrate. Further investigations are on.
