Man beaten by cops in UP over traffic violations in front of his kid. Video Inside

A man in Uttar Pradesh was beaten repeatedly in broad daylight by two policemen. It is alleged that the man had violated traffic rules.

A video of the two cops thrashing the man went viral when it was uploaded online. In the video, one can see the cops are repeatedly slapping the man in full public view.

The Uttar Pradesh Police has taken note of the matter and has suspended the two cops.

Under the amended Motor vehicles Act, which came into force on September 1, fines for various violations have been hiked manifolds, leading to turmoil.

But, while the new traffic laws allow police to impose hefty fines, there is no section in it that empowers them to physically assault traffic rule violators.
