Man breaches top-grade security of Rajnath Singh's convoy to meet PM Narendra Modi

A man breached top-grade security near Parliament to ask for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday. PM Modi was not in Delhi when the incident took place

A man breached top-grade security near Parliament to ask for a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday. PM Modi was not in Delhi when the incident took place.

The man came in front of Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's convoy and said he wanted to meet PM Modi. He was taken away by security forces and has been detained by the police.

He hasn't been identified yet. Photos showed the visibly agitated man being whisked away by police officials -- and later, seated in a police van.

Around the time when the security breach was reported, PM Modi was addressing a rally in Jharkhand. Jharkhand is holding an assembly election in five phases, four of which remain.
