Man seeks ₹1000 crores compensation as his daughter dies due to Covishield Vaccine side effects

Serum Institute, Pune and other officials involved in the manufacturing of Covishield vaccine were held responsible by the man.

A shocking incident has come to light from Maharashtra; a man has filed a case in Bombay High Court in which he has demanded a compensation of Rs 1,000 crores. . In the petition, he has alleged that his daughter died due to the side effects of the corona vaccine.

Petitioner Dilip Lunawat, claimed that his 33-year-old daughter Snehal Lunawat died due to the Covishield vaccine’s side effects. Snehal was a senior lecturer in a medical college in Nagpur.

"This petition is being filed to give justice to my daughter and in order to save the life of many more people which are likely to be murdered due to such unlawful activities of respondent authorities," Dilip’s petition reads.

Snehal took the first dose of Covishield on 28 January 2021 at Nashik. On February 5, she had a severe headache. On contacting the doctor, she was given migraine medicine, after which she felt better. She then travelled to Gurgaon on 6 February and at 2 am on February 7, she vomited due to fatigue.

She was taken to Aryan Hospital. Doctors stated that there is bleeding in her brain which resulted in a brain hemorrhage. Snehal was also on the ventilator for 14 days, but there was no improvement in her condition. She died on 1 March 2021.

 
Lunawat has said that he should get the amount of compensation from the responsible officials of the state and Serum Institute, Pune, the manufacturer of the Covishield vaccine. It has also been said in the petition that Snehal should be declared a martyr and a dedicated research institute should also be opened in his name.
