The Meteorological Department has reported a fresh snowfall in Manali and Kalpa of Himachal Pradesh on Wednesday night.
A light precipitation in the form of rain and snowfall is also expected in some parts of the state between December 30 and January 3.
While Kalpa received 5 cm snowfall, Manali received 3 cm snowfall, Director of MeT Centre, Shimla, Manmohan Singh said, on Thursday.
Several parts of Himachal Pradesh, including Shimla, Manali, Dalhousie, Narkanda and Kufri are also expected to receive snowfall around the New Year.
Some Westen disturbances are also expected over the state from January 1 to 3 next year.
