After days of continuous criticism and outrage, Adipurush dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir on Saturday broke his silence and issued an unconditional public apology. Fans were left disappointed and fuming after the much-awaited movie of the year starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan & more released in the theaters. Although Adipurush came under the scanner due to various reasons, it was the dialogue that sparked controversy and outrage. Adipurush was also slammed for 'low level' graphics and even dressing of Lord Ram in the movie. Now, after continuous criticism, Manoj Muntashir took to his Twitter handle and wrote-

"I accept people’s emotions have been hurt by Adipurush. With folded hands, I extend my unconditional apologies. May Prabhu Bajrang Bali keep us united and grant us strength to serve our sacred Sanatan and our great nation."

Directed by Om Raut, Adipurush, which is an adaptation of the epic Ramayana, has drawn heavy criticism post-release from critics as well as reviewers. Among the dialogues over which the makers have drawn flak are ‘marega bete, ’bua ka bagicha hain kya' and 'jalegi tere baap ki'.

After Manoj issued a public apology, many users bombarded in the comment section. A user wrote, "He knew this and just waited for movie to be remove from theatres so that distributors won’t get angry on his comment and it doesn’t decrease the BO collection." Another user wrote, "We Never forget Never forgive! I was your fan but unfollowed you the moment you said Hanuman Ji is not Bhagwan but just a Bhakt. Deleted your all songs from my library and unsubscribed you on YouTube too."

For those who are unware, Manoj has been embroiled in another controversy. In an interview with a news channel, he tried to defend the dialogues of 'Adipurush'. In the same, he also claimed that Bajrangbali or Lord Hanuman is ‘not a god’ but is considered one because of the power of his ‘bhakti’ for Lord Ram. He had said, “Bajrangbali bhagwaan nahi hai, bhakt hai. Humne unko bhagwaan banaya hai kyuki unki bhakti mein woh power tha (Lord Hanuman is not God but a mere devotee. We made him God because his devotion had that power).”
