Days after a horrific mass stabbing incident in Bondi Mall, a bishop named Mar Mari Emmanuel was stabbed multiple times while giving sermons on Monday. The latest stabbing incident took place in Sydney Church and now Mar Mari Emmanuel's stabbing video is also going viral on social media. In fact, controversial influencer Andrew Tate has also shared the viral Sydney Church attack video.
The incident happened on Monday night just after 7pm (local time) at Wakeley’s Christ The Good Shepherd Church. Bishop Emmanuel was reportedly stabbed with a pen and rushed to hospital. As per Australian media reports, the attacker was detained by churchgoers before being arrested.
New South Wales cops confirmed "a police operation is underway" in Wakeley following reports that "a number of people were stabbed" at the church. NSW cops in their statement said, "Officers arrested a male and he is assisting police with inquiries. The injured people suffered non-life threatening injuries and are being treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics."
In the viral Wakeley church video, Bishop Emmanuel can be seen speaking at an altar as a man calmly walks up to him and lunges at his face and neck with a weapon. The Bishop was saved after people present in the Church came to his rescue.
The Wakeley church stabbing incident came days after rampaging knifeman Joel Cauchi murdered six people at a mall in Bondi on Saturday. A woman cop Amy Scott single-handedly confronted Cauchi, 40, as he stalked victims at Westfield Bondi Junction and shot him dead.
