New footage for the forthcoming Disney+ series, Moon Knight, was just released ahead of the trailer, during the NFL Super Wild Card clash. The programme stars Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector, a former US Marine with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) who becomes a conduit for the Egyptian moon deity Khonshu, and was created by Jeremy Slater.
Hawke said that he modelled his role on cult leader David Koresh during an interview on Late Night With Seth Meyers. He also told the storey of how he was cast in the play, which was a bit of a letdown. Isaac lived "three streets" down the street from him in Brooklyn, he said Meyers, and he ran into him at a coffee shop one day. "He approached me and said, 'I really enjoyed The Good Lord Bird.' 'Would you want to join me in the Moon Knight?' 'Yeah,' I said. So everything went according to plan," Hawke said.
Marvel is gearing up for another year of releases, including She-Hulk and Ms Marvel, over a year after launching their Disney Plus series with WandaVision, What If, Loki, Hawkeye, and The Falcon And The Winter Soldier.
